A container terminal with a capacity of 1.5m TEUs has commenced operations at Jakarta’s Port of Tanjung Priok, Indonesia.
The terminal is a joint project of Japan’s Mitsui and NYK Line, Singapore’s PSA International and Indonesia Port Corporation. It will be operated by the newly established company PT New Priok Container Terminal One.
According to NYK Line, with a berth length of 850 m and a 16 m draught, the terminal will be able to accommodate “advanced mega containerships”.
