Yang Ming has announced the launch of YM Express, a 4,662 TEU container vessel built for Yang Ming by CSBC CORP., TAIWAN.
YM Express is the fifth of five 4,662 TEU container vessels built for Yang Ming by CSBC CORP. The new ship is 259 m long, 37.3 m wide. It has 400 reefer plugs and a draft of 12.8 m. The vessel can cruise at a speed up to 22.9 knots.
Yang Ming claims to strive for environmental protection and to lower the average age of its ships. The new generation ships incur lower operational costs and consume energy more efficiently. With the deployment of this new vessel Yang Ming intends to enhance its comprehensive service and provide better service to customers.
YM Express is to be deployed in the China-Pakistan Express service. Her ports of call are in the following order: Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Karachi, Mundra, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai.
