CMA launches its WAZZAN service for West Africa

The CMA CGM Group has announced the launching of a new weekly service. The WAZZAN service will join Morocco to North West Africa, and improve the shipping line’s intra African coverage.

CMA CGM claims that the new service improves its transit time between Mauritania, Senegal and Morocco by eight days. The service also introduces a new direct call, from North West Africa to Morocco, in Las Palmas. Additionally the service also develops the company’s reefer containers offer in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, allowing fish exports to intra African and worldwide markets.

This service is designed to complement the six EURAF ones already serving West Africa and Europe. It will deploy three 1,100 TEUs vessels on the following rotation:

Casablanca, Algeciras, Tangiers, Nouakchott, Dakar, Nouadhibou, Las Palmas, Casablanca.
