Clipper Logistics reports solid growth for 2014

Clipper Logistics has announced its full year results for the year ended April 30, 2015. It reported revenue of £234.8m, an increase of 16.7% over 2014. The company also recorded operating profit of £10.86m, an increase of 126.33%. Accordingly the company’s margin stood at 4.63%.

The growth in revenue was driven by a strong performance across all division as the company won a number of new contracts over the course of the year. The acquisition of Servicecare, a returns logistics company specializing in consumer electronics, during the year also contributed to the larger revenue figure. The acquisition boosted growth at Clipper’s E-fulfilment & returns management services business to 31.5% year-on-year.

Clipper stated that the improvement in its operating profit over the period was largely the result of rising revenues from contract wins as well as lower exceptional costs.
