According to the announcement made by C.H. Robinson, the company has added two positions to its global forwarding team in response to an increasing need for transportation services between Europe and Asia.
Oliver Volk has been appointed director of European development, Asia Global Forwarding. Volk joins C.H. Robinson with over 25 years of international experience in freight forwarding. He began his career in 1990 in Munich, Germany, at ITG GmbH where he held a number of roles as air freight manager, assistant branch manager, and sales director. In 2011, Oliver joined CEVA Logistics in China, where he held the position of general manager of their Air Asia Pacific trade lane.
Further to Volk’s appointment, Rajendra Tamil has been appointed route development manager Asia, Europe Global Forwarding. Tamil has over 15 years of experience within the international freight forwarding industry and most recently worked at FedEx Trade Networks as sales manager for France. Prior to FedEx, Rajendra spent several years in Hong Kong, as a route development manager with Kuehne + Nagel and DSV.
