Rhenus Logistics Italy has opened a new branch office in Riano, near Rome, to expand its coverage of the Lazio region. The new location enables Rhenus to offer complete, integrated transport solutions for its customers using the company’s international network.

The 22,000 sq m office is one of three buildings in a 400,000 sq m logistics park in Riano. Rhenus has the option to expand its warehousing space up to 45,000 square metres.

An additional 100,000 sq m at the logistics park can be employed in the near future for functional added services, such as a fuel station or for truck parking. The logistics park is well-connected to the national highway system as well as the Italian capital, which lies around 25 km away.

In addition, the new warehouse offers Rhenus a variety of different features, such as 20 gates with hydraulic ramps, 19 van distribution gates, a storage capacity of 12,500 pallet spaces, around 7,600 picking positions and a rechargeable forklift truck area.

Guglielmo Davide Tassone, Managing Director of Rhenus Logistics Italy, said “From our new branch office, we are able to serve our customers in Rome center and south of Italy markets and maintain connections to the broad international network of the Rhenus Group.”
