C.H. Robinson acquires Space Cargo


C.H. Robinson has announced the acquisition of The Space Cargo Group (“Space Cargo”), expanding its global network.

Space Cargo is a provider of ocean and air freight forwarding, in addition to providing customs brokerage and other logistics services. Headquartered in Madrid, Spain, Space Cargo has approximately 170 employees and has seven offices in Spain and one in Colombia. For the fiscal year 2018, Space Cargo earned approximately €74m in gross revenues.

C.H. Robinson purchased Space Cargo for approximately €42m in cash. The acquisition is expected to happen gradually through 2019 and further strengthens C.H. Robinson’s global forwarding business. It currently serves five continents and 32 countries. C.H. Robinson will integrate Space Cargo into its global forwarding division and single global technology platform, Navisphere®.
