C.H. Robinson has issued its 2023 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report highlighting progress on the company’s ESG initiatives, including engaging with customers, carriers, employees and industry partners; and driving positive, lasting impact for local communities and our planet.
This year’s ESG report discloses several accomplishments, including:
Enhanced and expanded sustainability solutions in support of customers and carriers, such as the Navisphere® Insight CO2e Emissions lane analysis tool and newly launched Alternative Fuel Program
Became the first third-party logistics provider to adopt a new electronic bill of lading (eBOL) shipping document to boost efficiency and reduce errors for the less-than-truckload (LTL) sector
Announced the launch of touchless appointments, an industry-first technology that automates the pick-up and delivery of freight to create greater supply chain efficiencies
Further enabled the use of artificial intelligence (AI) across the company by establishing an AI Center of Excellence led by the newly created role of Vice President of AI
Supported the development of a book and claim chain of custody system in collaboration with Smart Freight Centre to accelerate decarbonization across the transportation industry
Launched a global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy, “Be curious. Be brave. Be accountable.” to further strengthen company-wide DEI efforts
Donated $4m to 1,030 charities through the company and C.H. Robinson Foundation, making a difference in communities around the world
