DACHSER is bolstering its warehousing capacities in France with new facilities in Roissy and Nîmes. In Roissy, within the greater Paris area, a 20,000 sqm warehouse has been established. Meanwhile, in Nîmes, located in the Occitanie region of southern France, a 12,000 sqm warehouse has begun operations.
These expansions address the growing customer demand for combined transport and warehousing services. Over the past three years, DACHSER has increased its warehouse space in France by approximately 100,000 sqm, with services now available at 17 locations across the country.
“With the new branch in Roissy, we are enhancing our warehousing capacities in the greater Paris area and further expanding our transport services in northern France and northern Europe,” explains Frédéric Possien, General Manager Ile de France Nord Est at DACHSER. The proximity to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport and the capital provides additional benefits.
The 20,000 sqm warehouse features 21 loading gates, two ramps, and can accommodate 29,500 pallets. It primarily serves customers in the construction, heating, healthcare, and household electrical appliances sectors. The site is also equipped for hazardous materials storage and includes 700 sqm of office space.
The new Nîmes warehouse offers 12,000 sqm of space with 14 loading gates, capable of storing 19,000 pallets. It accommodates goods from the food sector as well as DIY and gardening supplies. The site also includes around 400 sqm of office space.
“With the Nîmes warehouse, we can meet customer demand in southern France, a key hub between southern Europe and North Africa,” says Murat Kayki, General Manager Languedoc-Roussillon at DACHSER. “This enhances our presence in the region and increases our warehouse space between Montpellier and Marseille to a total of 48,000 sqm.”
