Davies Turner expands UK-Poland services and European network

The company has added its hubs in Bristol and Manchester to its existing two-way overland trailer services between the UK and Poland, in addition to its existing daily services from both Dartford and Birmingham in the UK. The new direct services have been added to handle the increased volumes of groupage cargo moving in both directions between the UK and Poland.

Davies Turner offers the services in partnership with Polish Forwarder Raben Group. They will bring control of regional collections and deliveries closer to both the origin and the destination of consignments in the south-west and in the northern UK. Polish consignments to and from Scotland and Ireland are also supported via Davies Turner’s hubs in Glasgow, Scotland and Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

“Our services operate into Poznan where Raben has its headquarters. It has a significant distribution network in Poland with more than 30 depots and an incredibly robust and reliable collection and delivery service,” said Danny Southby, Head of European Network for Davies Turner. “It has grown phenomenally in the last 25 years and we have developed close working relationships at all levels.”

The two companies also work together in the Dutch and German markets.
