Fiege has announced it has taken over the handling of e-commerce logistics for the online wound care retailer recusana. The company is a part of the McKesson Corporation and specialises in distributing dressings, hygiene supplies and skincare products across Germany.
To increase the operational performance of its online shop, the retailer went looking for a new logistics partner. From April, Fiege started handling the storage, packaging, and shipping of online orders of a broad range of wound care supplies. The orders are processed at the logistics firm’s Münster location, where Fiege performs services for other clients in the medical technology and pharmaceutical sectors. The Münster location is ISO 13485 and GDP certified.
“As an experienced partner for healthcare logistics, Fiege met all crucial hygiene and quality requirements such as Good Distribution Practices”, Johanna Scholze, Managing Director of recusana GmbH said.
Cordula Brockmeyer, Head of Business Development at Fiege Healthcare, stated, “The B2C market comes with the challenge of needing products delivered as fast as possible and at the best quality to the end customer. This applies naturally and especially in the context of the Good Distribution Practice.”
