GEFCO has signed a contract to manage the supply of components for Plastic Omnium in the UK. The partnership will utilise GEFCO’s 12,000 sq m Halewood logistics solutions centre, south Liverpool, which will serve as Plastic Omnium’s new third-party logistics warehouse. The enhanced operations will support Plastic Omnium’s 240,000 sq ft facility at Omega South in Warrington.
GEFCO will receive three daily deliveries of supplier’s components by dedicated vehicles to Halewood logistics solutions centre, which supports production for major automotive clients in the Halewood area. It will sort and configure parts on demand and deliver to Plastic Omnium’s Warrington facility, whereas suppliers were previously delivering directly to Warrington.
