Geodis wins European logistics contract from iiyama

Geodis

iiyama, a Japanese manufacturer of computer monitors and displays, has awarded Geodis a contract to manage its European logistics operation.

It includes customs handling, the transport of products from Rotterdam to Venlo, storage, sales order processing and outbound transport. At Venlo, Geodis will store goods at its 135,000 sq m campus.

“We are growing very fast,” commented Jeffry Pettinga, Sales Director Europe at iiyama.

“In addition, we see a market need for larger desktop monitors and (interactive) signage displays, which means we are faced with even further complexity in logistics. With a view to the future, we were seeking to select a logistics partner that will support us in reaching our growth ambitions.”

Geodis’ statement asserted that its knowledge and experience in the field of consumer electronics and high-tech, combined with warehousing flexibility in Venlo, were the key factors in the final stages of the selection process.
