GLP announced that it has acquired another site in the municipality of Anagni (FR), to develop a Grade A warehouse facility with a total leasable area of 28,000 sq m.
The project, built on a BTS basis, stands out for its location in one of the main logistics hubs around Rome, thanks to its strategic position close to the A1 highway – the main axis between Rome and Naples – just 5km away. GLP already owns an existing warehouse in this area, which is leased to leading operators in the transport and cosmetic industries, and recently bought another plot of land with a development capacity of 22,000 sq m (acquired on a speculative basis, with delivery expected for September 2023).
Construction of the site is scheduled to begin in April 2023, with the building permit already obtained, and the property is expected to be available by Q4 2023. The structure will be built according to the highest quality and ESG standards, and the warehouse will be certified BREEAM Very Good.
Marco Belli, Country Director at GLP Italy, commented: “This is a prime example of our “Diffused Logistic Park” strategy. The industrial area of Anagni benefits from excellent road links and is in close proximity to another plot of land acquired by GLP in September. By the end of 2023, GLP will own and manage three modern logistic assets within a radius of 1km. According to GLP, the two new plots are located in one of the best buildable areas in the Anagni industrial hub, both already urbanised and ready for construction. With a shortage of buildable land and increasing demand, Anagni continues to be perceived as one of the most important locations in the Rome market.”
