Goodman plans a new logistics centre at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport

Goodman, alongside the Roissy-en-France Urban Area Community Council (CARPF) and the land developer RHEA, has announced plans for a logistics park.

The park is situated in the municipality of Le Mesnil-Amelot within the urban development zone of Chapelle de Guivry and adjacent to Paris’ major airport – Paris Charles-de-Gaulle which is just 27 km to the centre of Paris. Located between the highway A1 and the Route National 2, the site is bordered by the future East Roissy bypass, a continuation of the ‘greater Paris Super Express Way’. In addition, the site will benefit from a full interchange and the terminus station of the Grand Paris Express rail line which is planned to be completed in 2024.

It will be comprised of three separate buildings of 43,000 sq m, 49,000 sq m and 98,000 sq m respectively, occupying a total area of 37 hectares. Planning permission for building and environmental permits will be filed in the first quarter of 2019. The new ‘smart’ buildings will be equipped with sensors, to improve the energy performance and manage energy consumption more efficiently.

The Director of Goodman France, Philippe Arfi, said, “This project at Le Mesnil-Amelot will be an opportunity for Goodman to provide our customers with leading-edge logistics facilities in a highly-sought after location, showcasing all of our expertise in the development of logistics centres around the world. Each building is designed with the customer in mind, from both a design and functional perspective. They will feature green spaces not only on the external façade, but also on the various terraces around the office areas of the buildings. We are honoured that CARPF, Roissy Development and RHEA have again placed their trust in us, confirming our significant contribution to the economic development of the area.”
