VinLog powered by Kuehne + Nagel has opened a 27,000 sq m warehouse in Oppeano in the province of Verona, Italy, ideally located to serve the northern Italian ports of Trieste and Venice. The hub in Verona offers time and cost-efficient rail connections to the European market.
The fully customs-bonded facility for wine and spirits is temperature-controlled and offers a range of value-added services. VinLog’s real-time order and inventory management system will enable all parties in the supply chain to monitor production and supply levels according to demand.
“Our newest facility supports the Italian wine industry with storage, co-packing, labelling and consolidation for road and sea freight export. The Verona warehouse acts as a direct link between producers and importers, significantly improving order and inventory management with expertise and innovative technology. We provide much needed storage capacity as the Italian wine industry recovers from the challenges of Covid-19,” said Horst Mueller, Global Head of VinLog.
With the newly opened facility, VinLog is pursuing the goal of optimising service and reducing transport time to key markets such as North America and Asia.
