Kuehne+Nagel has named Yutaka Matsuyoshi as Managing Director for Japan, effective from 1 August 2024. His predecessor, Cedric Dulong, will now concentrate on the company’s Japan Development Program, which seeks to enhance Japan’s role in global trade.
With 25 years of experience in supply chain and logistics, Yutaka Matsuyoshi brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. His career has taken him across Japan, the UK, Hong Kong, China, and Switzerland, where he has overseen numerous logistics transformation projects across various industries. Prior to joining Kuehne+Nagel, he spent nine years managing Global Logistics at adidas. In 2022, Yutaka assumed the role of Global Head of Operations for international Supply Chain at Kuehne+Nagel’s headquarters in Switzerland, where he successfully led complex digitisation-focused order management projects.
Commenting on his new role, Yutaka expressed his enthusiasm for leading the Japanese team, emphasising the importance of understanding the challenges faced by Japanese customers in these uncertain times. He aims to refine the company’s offerings by focusing on customer needs, leveraging his extensive experience to forge long-term partnerships in Japan.
As part of its Roadmap 2026, Japan is identified as a key strategic growth market for Kuehne+Nagel. The Japan Development Program will prioritise expanding business with Japanese companies, both domestically and internationally. To further strengthen its relationships with Japanese clients, Kuehne+Nagel has appointed Mitsuhiro Inaba as Director of Sales and Marketing Japan, starting 1 August, and Kenzo Yamada as Director of Air Logistics Japan, beginning 1 September. These appointments highlight Kuehne+Nagel’s dedication to increasing its footprint in the Japanese market.
