Kuehne+Nagel announced the launch of a new temperature-controlled fulfilment centre for its partner, Medtronic. This healthcare technology company develops, manufactures, and sells medical devices and therapies to address complex medical conditions.
Located in Milton, Ontario—50 km from Toronto—this 25,000 sq m site will enable Kuehne+Nagel to assist Medtronic in distributing its products to hospitals and institutions. Medtronic plans on running a service and repair centre on the premises, along with a testing and preventative maintenance centre for their medical equipment.
Mbaye Seye, Operations Manager at Medtronic, added, “We are proud to partner with Kuehne+Nagel, as we trust them to tackle the unique challenges we face in the healthcare supply chain while upholding our highest quality standards and regulatory compliance to best serve our customers and the patients we support. Our cultures and values align, as we both prioritise putting patients first.”
Over the past decade, the healthcare market in Canada has expanded due to technological advancements, changing demographics, and increased investments in healthcare, especially in the post-pandemic landscape.
