Kuehne+Nagel has commenced the construction of a new fulfilment and distribution centre in EZDubai, a specialised e-commerce zone in Dubai South. This location is near Al Maktoum International Airport and connected to Jebel Ali Port via a bonded logistics corridor.

The centre’s location and connectivity might serve as a hub for regional trade, offering customers streamlined logistics solutions and exemption from customs clearance procedures within the bonded logistics corridors, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.

Lee I’Ons, GCC+ Cluster Managing Director at Kuehne+Nagel, stated, “The development of this new e-commerce fulfilment centre underscores our commitment to the UAE and Dubai, supporting one of the fastest-growing economies globally. This facility will simplify business operations in Dubai and the wider region for our customers.”

Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District, Dubai South, expressed his pleasure at the groundbreaking, highlighting the facility’s value to the logistics sector and Dubai’s position as a global logistics hub. He assured ongoing support for Kuehne+Nagel’s expansion through advanced services and solutions.

Jonathan Emery, CEO at Aldar Development, noted, “We are delighted to contribute to creating a state-of-the-art fulfilment centre for Kuehne+Nagel at Dubai South, one of the UAE’s most well-connected logistics hubs, aligning with our focus on delivering Grade A facilities for local and international logistics providers.”

The new fulfilment centre, designed to meet LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver standards, might provide over 23,000 sq m of warehousing space, accommodating approximately 45,000 pallet positions. . The centre is scheduled to be fully operational by the Q2 2025, developed by Dubai South and Aldar Properties.
