Logista’s parcel delivery subsidiary, NACEX, announced that it has opened a new logistics centre in Monforte del Cid, in Alicante, to cope with extra demand. The new facility is nearly 4,000 m2 in size, has 16 loading bays for vans and 2 for larger trucks and can handle a maximum of 3,500 shipments per hour.
The extra logistics centre means NACEX can expand its capacity in the region to meet the volume growth it is experiencing. In the region, the company handles between 120,000 and 150,000 shipments per month and expacts an increase of 30% in monthly shipments as it heads into peak season.
The new centre replaces a smaller one located in the municipality of Villena. NACEX has a network of 33 hubs across Spain, Portugal and The Netherlands.
NACEX, which offers a wide range of services, is part of Logista, the leading distributor of products and services to local businesses in Southern Europe. NACEX has a fleet of over 2,500 vehicles and more than 3,500 collaborators, as well as a network of 33 hubs, over 300 franchises in Spain, Portugal, Andorra, and the Netherlands, and more than 2,600 NACEX.shop points in Spain and Portugal.
