NTG Nordic Transport Group A/S announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Danish-based DTK BE Holding ApS. This acquisition marks a significant milestone for NTG as it continues to expand its capabilities and strengthen its market position in the Nordic region.
Strengthening NTG’s Nordic and European presence
DTK is a renowned full-service logistics solutions provider, specialising in full- and part-load general cargo, delivering high-quality temperature-controlled transportation, along with comprehensive logistics services and value-added offerings such as in-house customs brokerage and warehousing solutions. Headquartered in Padborg, DTK operates from eight locations across Denmark (five), Germany (one), Sweden (one), and the UK (one), serving a diverse and extensive customer base.
Jesper Petersen, CEO of Road & Logistics at NTG, comments on the acquisition, “We are pleased to welcome another well-known and reputable Danish freight forwarder to the NTG family. The acquisition of DTK is a key transaction for NTG, which not only solidifies our Nordic market position but also adds valuable expertise and capabilities. DTK’s decentralised business model and solid customer relationships are proof points of the successful track record of the company and its employees, and I am confident that this partnership will result in many new opportunities in the future.”
Significant future synergies
For the financial year 2024, DTK reported revenue of DKK 1,156m and an EBIT of DKK 94m. Following the acquisition, DTK is expected to contribute approximately DKK 96m to NTG’s consolidated adjusted EBIT over a 12-month period. The transaction values DTK at DKK 620m and is subject to merger control approval. NTG will finance the purchase price through existing credit facilities and expects to achieve annual synergies of DKK 24m once DTK is fully integrated. The transaction is anticipated to close before the end of Q2 2025, with integration finalisation expected by H1 2026.
As part of this consolidation, DTK’s general cargo and warehousing services will cooperate closely with NTG Road A/S, while DTK’s temperature-controlled transportation division will continue independently, supported by NTG.
