Old Dominion upgrades its service centres network

Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. (OD) has strengthened its network of 226 service centres by investing in facility renovations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Parsons, Kansas.

The less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier anticipates that the remodels will increase shipping capabilities in the South and Midwest United States.

Terry Hutchins, OD Vice President of Field Services and Real Estate, said, “We continue to invest in our facilities with the latest technology and infrastructure to ensure we’re operating effectively and efficiently. The improvements in Oklahoma City, Shreveport and Parsons demonstrate our commitment to delivering across the south and Midwest.”

The investments cover the following:

• Parsons, Kansas – One of 6 six service centres in Kansas, it is a 24 acre facility with 114 doors
• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – One of two service centres in the state, this service centre has 87 doors
• Shreveport, Louisiana – OD has five service centres in Louisiana. This centre sits on 10 acres and has 32 doors. It serves areas in and around Louisiana including, Benton, Bossier City, Greenwood, Mansfield, Many, Minden, Natchitoches, Sarepta, Vivian, Shreveport, Carthage, Jefferson, Marshall, and Waskom.
