Pall-Ex expands its partnership with Staples Solutions

UK pallet networks have announced that they will be joining forces to offer the government a collaborative supply chain service for critical supplies.

Pall-Ex has announced that it has expanded its partnership with Staples Solutions (Staples) after securing a new contact with Graham The Plumbers’ Merchants.

The two companies will provide full warehousing, fulfilment and distribution service for the Saint-Gobain-owned merchant, operating from Staples’ 500,000 sq ft warehouse in Rockingham.

Freight will be transported by Pall-Ex, which has created a new groupage service for the contract along with two new jobs. It currently transports over 100,000 pallets for Staples annually, orders worth around £0.5bn in total.

Kevin Buchanan, Group Managing Director, said: “Over the last 18 months we have worked closely with Staples to develop a full-service offering, increasing Pall-Ex’s corporate volume by 15% and our network volume by 5.2%.”
