The Palletways Group has opened its new hub in Łódź in Central Poland.
The 2,500 sq m hub is now fully operational, offering distribution and logistics capabilities. It features IT innovations that will enable customers to access consignment information in real time, throughout the journey from collection to delivery.
Palletways Polska has 12 members, although the group says it expects four more to sign in the coming months. The expansion into Poland came was announced in 2015 and is part of its plan to grow its pan-European network.
The new hub will offer daily connections with Germany and the rest of the Palletways international hub network, including Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It will also provide a full range of economy and premium domestic services in Poland.
Tomasz Cegielski, Managing Director of Palletways Poland, said, “The new Polish network offers an outstanding improvement to our Eastern European connections for our Polish customers particularly. In-bound and outbound volumes between Poland and the rest of our pan European network will move faster and more efficiently than before…The network will be supported by our pan-European IT platform and our International Customer Service team to ensure we provide the best possible customer experience.”
