PostNord signs agreement for new logistics facility at Gothenburg Airport

PostNord TPL has announced that it has signed an agreement for a new 46,000 sq m facility to be built adjacent to Gothenburg Airport, Sweden. PostNord TPL will lease the new property will be developed by, and located at Landvetter Logistic Center, a joint venture between real estate developer Bockasjö and Swedavia.

The new property has a lettable area of 46,000 sq m and will be completed in two stages. The first stage covers 20,000 sq m and will be operational by June 1, 2020, and the remaining part of the building is expected to be ready by autumn 2020. The facility is Green Building classified with low energy consumption and will be equipped with solar cells.

“This will be our third project with Postnord TPL and our fifth with the Postnord Group. The project also represents an important milestone in the development of Airport City Gothenburg. We are erecting the third logistics building in the area, which means that the airport’s first logistics park is now fully established,” said Joakim Hedin, CEO of Bockasjö and CEO of Landvetter Logistics Center.

A land area of ​​approximately 170,000 sq m, west of the entryway to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, has been prepared for the construction of three new logistics properties with a total lettable area of ​​90,000 sq m. The new logistics park is part of Airport City Gothenburg, the airport city with warehousing and logistics operations, offices, hotels, retail and workplaces, which grows directly in connection with Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
