Raben Group has acquired 100% of the shares in the Dutch company DGO Express, previously part of Sent Waninge Group. This strategic acquisition includes the DGO Express facility in Hoogeveen, Drenthe, and its fleet of 80 vehicles. Furthermore, 130 employees will join the Raben family, enhancing its operational capabilities.
DGO Express, a family-owned business known for its groupage road transport and warehousing services, is strategically located on the A28 highway near Hoogeveen, providing a crucial gateway to northern Netherlands and Benelux countries.
The Sent Waninge Group, while divesting DGO Express, will continue its regional endeavours with Sent Waninge Transport and Transpa Emmen B.V. Jantinus and Arnold Waninge, shareholders of the group, emphasised their commitment to their grandfather’s legacy established in the 1930s.
Raben Group, another family-owned enterprise originating in the Netherlands, boasts over 90 years of market experience and operates more than 160 locations across 15 European countries. By incorporating DGO Express, Raben is poised to strengthen its local road network in the Netherlands, solidifying its position in contract logistics and groupage transport.
