Shopify has announced the launch of its Fulfilment Network in the U.S. The new Shopify Fulfillment Network is a way for merchants on the platform to get orders to customers easily and quickly. Qualifying merchants in the U.S. can now apply for early access to the dedicated network of fulfilment centres that will ensure timely deliveries, and lower shipping costs, stated Shopify.
The service contains inventory-allocation technology, powered by machine learning, which predicts the closest fulfilment centres and optimal inventory quantities per location to ensure fast, low-cost deliveries.
The launch of the platform is another important step towards Shopify’s strategy to simplify the online shopping experience and make fulfilment systems and technology accessible and affordable to every merchant.
