Blue Dart Express has announced its financial results for the third quarter of the 2017 fiscal year. For the period ended December 31, 2016, Blue Dart made sales of INR* 72,000m, up 10.2% year-over-year. Compared with Q2, this was an 8.6% increase.
EBITDA for the quarter was INR5,766m. Against the corresponding period the previous year, this represented a 37.4% decrease. It was also down 22.9% against Q2. Net profit for Q3 stood at INR2,817m.
Speaking on the company’s financial results, Anil Khanna, Managing Director of Blue Dart said, “The last quarter of 2016 has been extremely tough for the economy, the industry and Blue Dart. The challenges were intractable and we expect them to continue for some time into the year.
