UPS to invest $175m to double capacity at hub in Colombus

UPS will add 375,000 sq ft to its main ground package hub in Colombus, Ohio as part of a $175m project.

The investment will see the site double its processing capacity to over 63,000 packages per hour.

“Columbus has grown as a UPS transit point for commercial and residential e-commerce packages moving across the country,” said Derick Craft, President of the UPS Great Lakes District that includes mid-Ohio north through Michigan.

The work is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2018.
