WWL developing automotive logistics presence in South Korea

In partnership with Eukor and Pyeongtaek International RoRo Terminal (PIRT), Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) is developing over 1m sq m of logistics land at the Port of Pyeongtaek.

The development will be completed in 2022. WWL has committed to purchase 66,000 sq m of land, on which will be a vehicle processing centre and “inland port” extension providing import finished vehicle logistics.

Eukor and WWL initially partnered in 2008 to set up PIRT as a terminal operating entity in Pyeongtaek. PIRT now handles more than 700,000 vehicles annually, with more than 10 ocean carriers calling on a regular basis. Eukor and GLOVIS are its largest customers.
