Yamato and Chronopost to develop temperature controlled parcel services between France and Japan

Japan’s Yamato and French post office subsidiary Chronopost will partner to develop international frozen and chilled parcel solutions.

Parcels will be sent in containers that maintain temperatures of between 0 C and 10 C. Yamato expects demand in France for Japanese fruit, fish and sake, while cheese and white asparagus will be among the goods coming from the opposite direction.

Yamato is looking to expand its international services and refrigerated food deliveries are seen as a potential niche growth market.
