Yusen Logistics (Benelux) B.V. (“YLBX”), a subsidiary of Yusen Logistics, has acquired Parts Express B.V. (“Parts Express”), a Dutch logistics firm specialising in the delivery of auto parts. YLBX operates primarily in the Benelux region (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg) and excels in services for specific sectors such as automotive, healthcare, and retail. This acquisition might bolster YLBX’s logistics services for the automotive industry, which is a key focus for the company.
The NYK Group identified the logistics business as a central component of its medium-term management plan, announced in March 2023. This merger and acquisition, along with the recent acquisitions of Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. acquiring the U.S. logistics company Taylored Services Parent Co., Inc. in February 2023 and International Logistics Group Limited acquiring a U.K. delivery service platform in February 2024 might further enhance the Group’s logistics business.
The NYK Group will continue to make significant investments in the logistics sector.
